Client: Major Middle-Eastern airline
Task: Implementation of a tool control system in order to meet specific auditing requirements with respect to aircraft maintenance and overhauling.
Solution: Installing a total of 28 IntelliPorts, approximately 48 AutoLockers with over 4500 bins as well as 35 RoboCribs® in order to store and to keep inventory of permanent tools with staff removing and returning items via their personal ID. In cases in which tools are not returned within a ten-hour period an internal alarm is initiated automatically to ensure that no tool is left behind on the aircraft once it leaves the hangar. Furthermore, this technology makes it possible to determine which tool is being used by which staff for which aircraft at any time.
Client: Largest German aircraft maintenance and overhaul facilities in Frankfurt and Hamburg
Task: Replacing existing the tool crib which used to be run by members of staff with a fully automated system.
Solution: Installation of 1000 AutoLockers and two RoboCribs®2000 which enables staff to choose the tools they require from a pick list at a pick list terminal. By printing a ticket and by scanning the bar code on that ticket bins can be accessed. The solution includes a real-time connection to the company’s SAP system which rules the software provided by AutoCrib® and initiates all administrative and reporting processes. Labor costs have been reduced significantly and queues in front of the cribs have been eliminated.
